Concern Worldwide Announces Multiple Job Vacancies in Turkana and Marsabit Counties

Concern Worldwide Kenya has announced several short-term job opportunities in Turkana and Marsabit Counties as part of its ongoing commitment to ending extreme poverty and strengthening livelihoods in arid and semi-arid regions of Kenya.

The international humanitarian organisation is seeking to fill multiple positions under its livelihoods and health programs, with a five-month fixed-term contract for each role.

The positions include Programme Manager–Livelihoods (1 position in Turkana County), Programme Officer–Livelihoods (3 positions in Turkana, North Horr, and Laisamis), Programme Officer–Health and Nutrition (1 position in Laisamis), and Programme Support Officer–Livelihoods (3 positions in North Horr, Laisamis, and Moyale).

According to Concern Worldwide, these roles are designed to enhance the organisation’s support for communities in Northern Kenya, focusing on building resilience, strengthening local livelihoods, and improving access to essential health and nutrition services.

Leadership and Technical Roles in Livelihoods

The Programme Manager–Livelihoods, based in Turkana County, will provide overall leadership and technical direction in implementing high-quality livelihoods programs.

The role involves developing county-specific plans, building partnerships with county departments, mentoring field officers, and ensuring the program’s alignment with donor and organisational standards.

The position offers a base salary of KES 260,809 per month plus a 15% housing allowance.

The Programme Officer–Livelihoods positions, based in Turkana and Marsabit counties, will focus on food security, market systems development, disaster risk reduction, and climate adaptation. Officers will work closely with county governments, community leaders, and implementing partners to ensure effective delivery of program activities.

The roles offer a base salary of KES 150,616 per month, plus housing allowance.

Expanding Health and Nutrition Support in Marsabit

In addition, Concern Worldwide is recruiting a Programme Officer–Health and Nutrition to be stationed in Laisamis Sub-county, Marsabit.

The officer will provide technical guidance to strengthen the capacity of the Sub-County Health Management Team in implementing high-impact nutrition interventions, including IMAM services, MIYCN, and the Family MUAC approach.

The position offers a base salary of KES 150,616, with a 15% housing allowance.

Community-Level Livelihoods Support

The Programme Support Officer–Livelihoods roles, available in North Horr, Laisamis, and Moyale, will focus on grassroots program implementation and community engagement.

The officers will work directly with local leaders and community groups to support sustainable agricultural practices, livestock management, and natural resource use.

The positions offer a base salary of KES 87,707 plus housing allowance.
